Bordeaux has begun its annual en primeur tastings, when the wine trade tastes the region's most recent vintage for the first time. Wine Spectator senior editor James Molesworth is in Bordeaux, tasting the 2024 wines from barrel at some of the region's top estates and sharing his tasting notes. He concluded his trip in the sweet wine region of Sauternes, for a look at the white wines and sweet dessert wines at Barsac standard-bearer Château Climens and then a first look at Château de Malle, now under new ownership.
